Program Information

How does the day run in terms of timing?

Participants should arrive at 8:15am for registration (and light breakfast).Precision and Precision Plus programs conclude at approximately 3:30pm, the Performance program concludes at approximately 4:00pm and all higher levels conclude at approximately 5:00pm. The driver briefing commences at 8:30am. Attendance at the briefing is mandatory; participants who miss it may not be allowed to drive due to the safety requirements.

On the day, how much time is spent in the cars driving?
For the Precision (Level 1) and Precision Plus (Level 2) Track Experience the day begins with a morning briefing. Following this, participants are split into groups where they rotate through various activities (for example emergency braking, skid pan, understeer and oversteer, slalom, cornering). Following a lunch break in the afternoon, there is another couple of hours of activities (for example lapping and motorkhana).

For the Performance (level 3) program, Master (Level 4) and our GT3 Cup or GT4 RS Clubsport (Level 5) programs participants will spend even more time in the cars. As participants are required to have previous experience, they will bring with them assumed knowledge regarding the structure of the day and the running of activities. This reduces briefing time and allows for more driving time.

Which Porsche vehicles do you drive?
The Porsche vehicles available on the day vary with the experience you are participating in. To view a complete list of vehicles for each level, please visit the specific experience information page on our website.

What is the dress code?
Porsche recommends all participants wear non-flammable clothing. Fully enclosed toe shoes are mandatory for all experiences.

For Precision and Precision Plus events held at RACQ Mobility Centre of Excellence, participants are welcome to wear any clothing they feel comfortable in.

For any events held at an official racetrack (e.g. Queensland Raceway), participants must wear clothes that fully cover flesh from ankles up to and including neck and wrists.
Race suits and helmets will be provided where necessary.

Are there any pre-requisites required to participate?
There are no pre-requisites to participate in our Precision (Level 1) program. However:

  1. for Precision Plus, you must first complete Precision;
  2. for Performance, you must first complete Precision Plus;
  3. for Master GT4 RS or Master GT3 RS you must first complete Performance;
  4. for GT3 Cup or GT4 RS Clubsport, you must first complete Master GT4 RS or Master GT3 RS

Can you participate if you have a Probationary licence?
Yes, a probationary licence is accepted for Precision (Level 1) and Precision Plus (Level 2). All other programs require a full driver’s licence to participate.

Who will be instructing me on the day?
All Porsche Track Experience programs are led by a team of Porsche certified instructors. Many are current or former professional race car drivers, with years of experience in national and international motorsport. They bring not only technical expertise but also the unique insight that comes from competing at the highest levels.
